One that size for each maybe :lau but fortunetly my dogs dont see cages, the only time we use them is when they are just puppies and they are in there training phase. Other then that they stay loose in the house 24/7 NOW dont get me wrong i ha ve had my fair share of chewed up.... uhm EVERYTHING but it adds charecter and although i do get hostile at times from crap they have done.. but i nthe end i still love them :D
 
Hi all,
I want to report on something I just did.
I am not paid for any endorsement that follows.
I had a set of forstner bits that got put in a damp area in my garage. they got really rusty. I searched and did research on how to remove the rust.
I finally selected WD40 Rust Removal Soak I soaked the 14 bits for a couple of hours. I could see that there was some results happening. so I soaked them over night.
not great results, but very good results.
the solution does get black and wears out.
so I made a new batch, and the results were very good.
I did rub the bits with 600 grit sand paper. and got down to bare metal very easily.
mind you, this was not just brown surface rust. this was black knobby rust.

I then took a dozen old sockets that i had laying around, and put them into the used solution. in about an hour they came out almost to bare metal.. a little rubbing with 600 grit sand paper and they are clean enough to read all the writing on them.
I am sure there are other makes of rust remover, but this is the best I have found.
I no doubt will try some of the other brand . as I do a lot of wood working tool refurbishing.
this is just a FYI..
I also pick up rusty tools at rummage sales.
drill bits, hand planes, chisels , etc..

Thats a good idea but wastes alot of wd40.... i live on a farm so i have rusty tools all the time and what i do is i have a 1/4 hp bench grinder, grinding wheel on one side and i got a wire brush wheel on the other and let me tell you the wire brush wheel works fantastic for cleaning runt off of tools, just be carefull cause if ur finger hits the wire wheel you will lose ur skin like a snap of the fingers.... but it only hurts till the pain goes away :lau If you have ever workedo n a farm cuts and scrapes are nuttin but everyday life and theres always electric tape guarenteed to stop any bleeding you may have :lau:lau
 
This soak is not the WD40 from an aerosol can.
It comes in a one gallon can. cost me $23.oo
I have a wire brush also, but I didn't want to damage the cutting edges of the forstner bits. and the wire brush would not reach down into the tiny nooks and crannies .
I used only about a couple of cups of the solution..
like I said, it was just a FYI. not the ultimate solution for rust removal. there are lots of alternatives..
take it or leave it. I just don't have the time to stand in front of a grinder to do a couple dozen tools.. much easier to drop them into the solution and go have a cup a coffee..
and there is no way I am going to use a wire brush on a rusty table saw or jounter bed..
I was a building contractor for over 25 years. I know about cuts and bruises and having a spike driven through the middle of a finger and coming out in the middle of my finger nail..
silicon caulk is a great instand bandage.

ahhh i got ya now, no i wasnt meaning anything bad or nuttin i was just saying..... and i never thought bout the silicon heh
