when I watch TV in bed, just about every night, I have a remote for the TV, a remote for the AC, a remote for adjusting the bed and a telephone.. I made a shelf at the head of the bed to hold all these..No trouble with my dogs, they can go anywhere in the house except into the 3 bedrooms.. they know the laws..

We were going to put up a shelf, but it wouldn't look good over this headboard. Our dogs don't have that rule :gig

Here's an awesome pile of ideas that I saw on Beekissed's forum.

I've been dump picking again. Most recent salvage: metal refrigerator shelves. My plan: connect them together to make a sectional cage for broody hen and her brood of chicks. 6' L x 20" W Closet Maid shelving is about $20.00. Salvaged fridge shelves = $0.00! and repurposing them keeps them out of the land fills.

I have just made a growout pen from old rabbit run panels with a dog cage at one end! Fridge ones would work really well and can be dismantled and stored when not in use.

we have lots of old chairs, but we are still sitting on them.
I need to pick up a couple hundred feet of electric dog fence wire around my house.
the original wire spool disintegrated as we were running the wire out.
so this morning I took a plastic coffee can and attached some wood to the ends. I have not used it yet. If it works I will post pictures.. cost: 4 deck screws, and eight 1/2" sheet metal screws.. all of which I had on hand.. scrap wood. plastic coffee can.
compliments of my sil..
