Nothing offensive. Just honest.

Love it!

I was cleaning a deer in the garage one time when some came to give me the Good News.. I have a 'don't be afraid of the dog, be afraid of the owner' sign w/a handgun.. no gun lectures...They were the same religion as my cousin, so I have an easy way to get them to move on when I tell them she is working on me... It is required that they go out and spread the Word, not an option...
I wonder if they thought I was a murderer  They left quicker than usual.:lau
that same sign is on my garage door. The next one has to say beware of the crazy wife. Nothing scares people away faster than a woman with a gun.

I know they are required to tell us about "he right path" I just think it's funny that they knocked even though they were offended.

Let me get this straight...some stranger knocks on your door to tell you they are offended by the sign on your door, then they wanted to talk to you about God?  :gig   Did you tell them the signs were for folks just like them and, if they are offended, you are reaching your target audience?
I laughed and said my dogs are offended by them being at my door.

Believe it or not, I've never had a JW knock on my door, no matter where I've lived. Right now I live WAY out in the boonies and well off the paved road, so not likely but I think it would be interesting. I have relatives in that religion and they don't even try to approach me. I feel very blessed by that.

The yearly canning of the chicken....always hard work, good smells and much satisfaction when it's all gleaming in the jars.

I think this country would be a different place if every person who is 12 yrs old or older had to raise their own meat from a baby, butcher it out when it was big enough and preserve it to the jar. There would be less wastefulness, I imagine, and more understanding about the lives they consume each day and a whole lot less of this false compassion where they talk about how they would be too soft hearted to kill an animal but they still continue to eat them.

Killing and preserving one's own foods is so very basic and develops the common sense of a person, IMO.

@Beekissed I agree . Also starting at 5 or 6 we should all have to grow our own vegetables. It teaches so many lessons. Being able to feed oneself should be more important than knowing how to properly wear makeup and fancy clothes. I bet money that if you put a Kardashian out on your land with only the devices you have available and no ready to eat food she would starve. She would have perfect hair while starving though.

No she wouldn't...not with only the devices we have available here! Nor would she have her own stylist on hand, so her hair would be as messy as ours. Well...maybe not as messy as MINE, but it'd still be pretty messy.

That big butt may come in handy for awhile, though....could keep her from starving for awhile as she uses up the fat stores there.
