When my hens were little fuzz balls I had a shiny thing incident myself. I put them in a cardboard box while cleaning their brooder when I heard high pitched shrieking. A golden tinsel star fell into the box and one of my SLWs had it in her beak and was desperately running around, trying to keep the others from taking it!
