Hoover’s new 2021 “Easter Eggers”

Grunleger sounds fancier than saying 'green layer.' Maybe I should use the name for my EE's. 😂

In all seriousness though, these are all really pretty easter eggers! The colors y'all have been getting are beautiful, especially those dark greens. ♥ Congrats on all your pretty babies and eggs!!

So I found info that said grunleger means 'green layer' so they are a traditional Americana ee mixed with a green layer
Yay I finally found something..I wonder what our eggs will look like, I'm guessing lots of green
Well I found out here's my first egg at 18 weeks and 5 days old

WOW that is really early! I have a bunch of chicks -> 44 - 18 of which are cockrels (mixed breeds - isa browns, buff orpingtons, astralorps,& 'americana' from TSC (plus some ordered heritage BR & some DC - both not from Hoover). at 4 mos (15 ish weeks...some of the chicks from TSC were newly arrived, some already had wing feathers), one laid a 'rubber' egg. The next day there was a regular (but small/pullet) egg. Now, 5 weeks later, no additional eggs. Strangest thing! (not sure which laid it, but think it was one of my two Isa's, based on comb coloring & egg color.)

Hope yours continue to lay...and the others take the hint! :)

Well, the earlier eggs were an anomaly - they shouldn't be laying that early!! However, I do expect them to start laying any day now. ..at least the Isas and a couple of others whose combs have gotten pretty red. I figure that they should all be pretty much laying by the end of the month (except, maybe the Dark Cornish - they are a slow to mature bird...they may not lay until mid-late October.)

It is always so egg-citing :celebrateto get the first few 'baby' pullet eggs!

I have two of Hoover's Americanas. I'll post pics of mine, the "EEs" weren't available when I got mine.
I realize this is an older post... can you please tell me what you blue chick is? I got 2 EE, 1 Wyandotte and 1 mystery chick that looks identical to your blue/gray one. Thanks!
