Hoover’s new 2021 “Easter Eggers”

I've got 4 little peanuts from TSC, so from hoovers. They were labeled Americana, but anything with muffs that isn't a bantam gets that label here so they could be the Americana or the new EEs. 3 have muffs and one does not.

The new EEs don't have muffs they have a turt on there head..well most do but none have muffs, Americanas do though they are just the traditional Easter eggers

Am I the only one that like the classic EE? I think Hoover need to rename the new EE with a different name.

Agreed!! I thought I was getting the classic EE's because they hadn't changed the description yet!

I have a Prairie Bluebell Egger, which, according to Hoover's: "This breed was created by crossing Araucanas and White Leghorns".

A mystery if they are real Araucanas, Hoover's "Americanas", or just their weird new EE.

I think real araucanas but they dont care if its up to standard or not just that its genes will carry over

They are sweet birds too, a little flighty but not too much. One likes to sit on my lap for pets but hates being picked up, the other use to be my favorite, would literally melt in my arms so content absolutely no issue with being picked up, but after she started laying she’s started pecking me really hard almost drawing blood. I have to be really careful with her now. But they lay beautiful eggs! One lays a blue the other an olive. I got them from a local hardware store that ordered them from Hovers.
