Hope gets a bath!

no tears Gal! just big smiles and feelings of warmth!!!!!   She is happy now. VERY happy. I bet she doesnt even remember what happened to her last year. Every time I get a little mad or peeved and want to tear up looking at her, I just set her down on my lap and give her mealworms. When she starts chowing down on them and hangs out like 'it's cool Momma" It makes it all go away. I know she will be forever happy with me and will never be abused or in pain for the rest of her life.  When she struts around the yard picking at the grass and finds a bug or two and has this look on her face like 'CHECK THIS OUT!!!!!!!!!!!" it makes me laugh.

It can only go upwards from here and get better!!!!!!

:thumbsup You're a wonderful person, fishnet! Hope looks great! :)

It's a good feeling to see birds that come from an abusive or neglected past experience the outside world for the first time and go pecking through the grass or chase bugs across the yard, just being a chicken for the first time they've ever been able to. If I had the room, I'd definitely find a way to rescue more chickens.
