Okay, so 10:30 am (PST) and still no pips on 4 and 7. I candled four (not super well, but it was up against the glass so I held my flashlight up to it and could see the air cell) I don't see an internal pip? But I also don't really know what that would look like. The air cell is facing the right direction.

I also candled 7 (this one was even harder to see as it wasn't right pressed up against the glass) but it looks like the air cell is kind of big. It could just be that I'm seeing the wide side of the slant on this one. Should I wait to open the incubator? It is day 21, the other five are fluffy and moving about so I would like to put them in the brooder, but not if it will put the other two at risk.

Definitely you are fine to put the other 5 in the brooder right now. Just crack the lid enough to grab a chick and do it that way rather than lifting the entire lid off so that some of the moisture stays inside!! I would transfer all the babies to the brooder and then turn off the lights and do an actual quick candle on the other two eggs. If they have internally pipped, you will see a head/beak moving around in the air cell area. If there is still a straight line separating the air cell from the chick then they likely havent pipped internally.

I'm unsure if these are sex linked, but if they are I am worried that they may all be roosters

What a happy ending to a not so great beginning

Okay I got all the chicks out and into the brooder they are happy under the brooder plate and have access to water and food. The humidity only briefly dropped to 56% for a few moments.

Funny enough, the chaos of me grabbing the chicks one by one seems to have inspired egg #7, who is now rocking back and forth quite a bit. How long should I let it rock without seeing a pip before I make a safety hole?

Hopefully she has the strength to pip and get out of her shell. Number 4 is not showing any movement at all yet that I can see. But I won't give up hope on her!

Im so excited!!! I wish that Hunnicutt would hatch but I am so thrilled that you have so many precious babies from your beloved flock.

I know! She was the one that was so bouncy on week 14! I still have hope for her, after all it is only day 21. Most the eggs yesterday weren't moving at ALL except for 2 and 5, so she may just be taking her time. She is one of the larger eggs too which I read could be a factor, and now I tend to believe that because the two smallest eggs hatched out first. I'm not giving up until day 23/24!
