Oh wow! That is pretty awesome. I have never been myself but we used to get plenty Aussies here for the surf. Also one of my favorite gal pals married an Aussie and eventually moved there. Unfortunately I lost track of her. I'd like to visit one day, looks beautiful.
Yeah
Take my advice. Don’t come in summer unless you have a beachside resort to stay at

AND my favorite neighbor is Australian! Can't believe I forgot her. I will keep the heat in mind if i get to go. I am completely sick of being overly hot myself. It is miserable and all I can do is hide inside here. New weather patterns are cutting off our trades more and more each year. Ugh!!

That’s annoying

Update:

I was not able to get pictures of Max today....

At 3:45 I received this text from my intructor:
"We probably can't do a lesson today. The wind and rain would probably scare the horses."
Ok, nothing wrong there. Then 4:00 roles around, and I received a picture of the arena half flooded, along with this text.
"I got to the barn to brush down Yada and Stitch....this is what I found. The barn and arena is flooding. I need you down here ASAP if you can, I already texted PJ and Tyra, but we need help cleaning stalls and to try and dry the barn out."

I went to the barn, and the entire backside of the indoor arena was filled with water, the deepest part of it being a foot deep. The crossties and halls of the barn where soaked with 2 inches of water.
We have been having heavy rain and winds all day, and the ground is frozen, and therefore the water has nowhere to go.
I'm exhausted from working, but it was worth it. The barn is halfway dry and all the horses are safe and fine. I'll keep y'all updated on the arena situation.
