Hello all! I think ivr posted here before but I guess I can again.

I've been riding 3 years, this year is my 4th. I take lessons once a week which isnt a lot but it is expensive and time consuming for a graduating high schooler lol.

Just wanted to share pics of my favorite lesson horses. :) (also for someone else who may have not seen them)
View attachment 1715413 this is Missy, a mare I've been riding a lot lately. Shes blind in one eye which makes her spooky but shes such a sweet heart.

This is Sky, who I learned to ride on. He'll always be my favorite boy.

And this is Vinny, who isnt a lesson horse but I still get the privilage to ride him, since he really isnt being used so his owner gave the ok for me to ride him.
I like to say he loves me but I know he probably doesnt care.

@TropicalBabies I havent responded on this thread but I have been reading your posts! It's great that you're helping those horses, it also looks so pretty there!

Nice!
Those horses all look beautiful and sweet

Hi fellow horsey folks! I saw this and just had to post. I used to have horses and rode for many many years. I started off in a western saddle-long story involving an English saddle, a fall, a post and a freaked out instructor. So anywho, after "I found my seat" I went on to riding in an English saddle (Hunters) then on to dressage. I was an avid trail rider through out all of that.
Over the years I owned four horses, two mares and two geldings. My first and last horse was a mare T'sai (pronounced Ta-Sigh) who I had to put down at the ripe age of 30 due to age and kidney issues. I missed her foaling because it was a school night ( I was in 7th grade at the time!) but I saw her two days later. During her life, I had Georgie, Galahad, and Guinness.
Georgie was a total sweetheart but I never road her. She was a granddaughter of Seattle Slew and Secretariat. Her story is a long and sad one filled with good times and bad but she was a great companion to T'sai. I saw her being born and fell in love with her at first sight. Sadly I lost her to colic at 9 and ended up with the geldings. Galahad was a palamino QH but we did not get along so I found him a great home but kept Guinness as companion for T'sai. Guinness was a black Morgan/Conamarra who had a four with stocking and a blaze and lived into his 40's. He was old when I got him but he was a sweet, sweet boy and a swaybacked as can be.
Anyway, sorry to ramble! I adore horses and I'll try to find some pics to post.
Cheers!

The vet postponed his visit from early this week to Friday, today. We just got home and are beat. All went well with not too much drama considering they were, for the most part, untouched. Iluna got her teeth floated, everyone got their vaccinations, check ups, and minor hoof clean ups. Maka and 4yo may have sheared heels so we have a fantastic farrier lined up. I got just a few photos and will share when I get my charging cord back in a day or so. Bottom line, they are good and on their way to a healthy, happy, productive life. Night all.

Photos are not that great. Being most all beasts were mostly still wild we really had to be on the alert, so did not have phone camera out that much. Usually just in time for after initial shot and sleepy horses or recovery wake. I had head duty while hubby had leg duty, keeping vet and assistant a little safer. No photos of surgeries because that may be too graphic even for this site of poop and problem solving. Good news for 4yo on his hernia. None life threatening so he can be scheduled for a later date... maybe even by new owner... who ever that may be. IMG_20190329_110439603_HDR.jpg IMG_20190329_110720828_HDR.jpg

Ha! I found some old photos from about 8 to 10 years ago. I'm hoping this posting pics thing works so bear with me!!!
Here is T'sai. She was in retirement at this point so her muscle tone was flat but she was still super cute. I forgot to tell y'all she was a Missouri Foxtrotter who sucked at foxtrotting. She paced instead of walked like a normal horse and she only foxtrotted when she was on pavement and she could hear the cadence.
This is her and her then stable mate/boyfriend Voltan. This was bath day so her Auntie Francoise left her halter on for the pre bath photo shoot.

The begging for carrots or maybe a banana but for bananas she always tried to climb the fence. She loved her 'nanas.
