Quote: Well, that one under her eye is deeper than a scratch; she's gonna have to grow skin back to fill in that hole. But if she was going to slam her face into something, at least it was just a small hole, not a great long tear or something involving an eye. And though the scrape on the knee is superficial in appearance, there was enough swelling (bruising) that she was lame in that knee yesterday, but it has gone down overnight and she's walking sound again now.

But compared to your girl, @I Love Layers , I agree it's really small potatoes. How's she doing, BTW?

Pretty good. Still open though

Ooh so today I did something scary. I trotted on June, WITH THE BAREBACK PAD. Takes so much balance! Lol. It my first time on her in two weeks because I've been sick so she wasn't on her best behavior but it was still a fun little exercise. I'm going to try and work at it either before or after every time I ride her to work on my balance. We also managed to do it with my cousin riding her stud horse right next to us. He wanted to talk but June behaved pretty good.
Also she's rubbing her mane off on the fence, drives me nuts!!
Aaand does anyone have any ideas on what to use multiple horses for or not? (Besides driving)

You can pony one of them.

Not what I meant, I meant like an actual purpose for them, where multiple would work together. Or is driving the only thing like that?

Unless you are into fancy trick riding, you can only ride one at a time, lol. You can ground drive more than one at a time, and of course there are a million and one ways that a horse in harness can work without actually being hitched to a cart, like this:

But other than that, the only option I see for one handler and more than one horse would be a pack horse type arrangement.

Proud moment when your "wild" pasture donkeys stand for farrier with not even a halter.
On another note, farrier found nothing wrong with hooves on my old gelding, thinking he is having knee problems.
