Horses slaughtered in FL?

I just wonder why the police in those area won't take this more seriously. I mean I understand that these "may" be ritual killings, but nevertheless they are theft and should be delt with. This is the first time I have ever heard of using horses in ritualistic ways. I have always heard of chickens and goats being the main animals prefered for this type behavior. I too was thinking these horses were used for food and the stink of it all was stemming from stolen horses being used as food........but never have I ever heard of a horse being used for satanic purposes.

I agree WK. There should be stiffer penalties for people like this...send a message out there....I am sick and tired of animal cruelty. And just about as sick of thieves too.

I know that if I were to walk through my horses pasture or walk into my barn to feed my animal and came across someone doing this to my horses. It would be a dead/injured person(s).

I'm not against humane horse slaughter, but I'm against animal cruelty and theft. And to think that these horses could have been killed just for a ritual or for sale on the market. The burning of the carcass really makes me think that the article is barking up the wrong tree with the meat market. Some of the horses were suspected of being butchered alive, the thought!

When i lived in Florida, our yard abutted a cow pasture. (I loved those cows!

) Anyways..people would steal their calves and it was heartbreaking to hear them momma cows just bawling and looking for their babies at night. One time one even broke through our fence into our yard. I went up to her to try to calm her down..(her baby had just been stolen)..Um..baaad move Einstein.. she charged me and stomped on my foot and knocked me to my tush!
