Agreed, ME TOO. I no longer imprint my newborns. It makes their mammas nervous, which gives new babies mixed signals. I prefer my horses to grow up as horses, not PETS. Then, when momma is ready, she always brings them around and they are curious and not a bit scared. I don't do the fighting to lead thing either, just lead mamma and baby always follows. After they are weaned, they just naturally lead, like they have know always. Once in a while I get a wild one, but rarely. We or mamma teach babies how to act around humans, or so I think. The gentlest, tamest animal on our farm is a wild adopted donkey. She never learned to be scared of humans I guess. Or maybe someone just worked with her a lot, but doubt it. HenZ
