Host a BYC Traveling Mascot!

I have been lurking and want to host a mascot as soon as life attempts to calm down a bit, but in the mean time I found some "thank you" gift ideas for SE and her getting this all started

How funny those are!
Great ideas, everyone!!

Hey, we need more mascot pics.
And we need to locate a couple of current hosts....

And I still can't get any answers on the missing mascots despite some PM's. Will keep working on it, though!

I want to host but I have to either a) figure out how to install the usb port pc sent me b) wait for my newly birthed mama friend to download pics which sometimes can take a while c) i can go to walmart or something like that with my dig. camera card thingy and get them, somehow right? how does that work...i'm new to the digital camera thing.

i wanna, i wanna...teach me how.

Can you remove the chip from your camera? If so, you can take it to the local store and download the chip onto a disc... I think. Maybe not all places can do this?

Well, Beaker and I went to a chamber music concert last night. He reminded me about his seat belt, although I think he really needs a booster seat. He thinks I need to clean the frosting off my seat.

I told him it's a working truck!

We couldn't take flash pictures at the concert, but Beaker thought it was very long, and finally fell asleep. When we got home, he needed a little bedtime snack to get sleepy again.

Then it was time for bed.

In the morning, Beaker wanted to have breakfast in bed with my other cat, Rennie. I told him that Rennie can't eat in bed, but I would bring him a bagel and orange juice.

After breakfast, we realized that sunny California was pretty cold outside. We borrowed a sweater for Beaker from one of the resident bears, and off we went.
When we got there, Beaker helped me make some copies.

Then we were off to class. The chorus was pleased to meet Beaker.

Sorry I have to block out the kids' eyes so they can't be identified. It's one of those teacher things.

The kids asked for Beaker to listen to them sing, and give his opinion.

Beaker liked their singing, but wanted company in that big auditiorium.

The kids taught Beaker about concert protocol, all the stuff you can't do during a concert, like talking, quacking, or walking around during the music.
One student, Matthew, wanted to play something for Beaker on the piano.

The rest of the day we went from school to school. Beaker ate my snacks, and wanted to come home. Now he's taking a nap. I think it was a long day for such a little guy. I'll wake him for dinner in a bit. Then, who knows what the evening will bring...

Wait til you meet him. He had the kids convinced.

Matthew was going to bring him a blanket for his next corrugated travelpod trip.

And some of the girls thought that he asked them for a tie-dye shirt from up on Telegraph. We're going to see what we can do about that.

His voice is sounding a little better today. When he got here, he was a little hoarse. I tried to figure out how to change his batteries, but I couldn't find a way. Still, he is actually quacking a bit today.
