House could have burnt to the ground!

I have a new great pyrenees and he is 13 weeks old. We love him. I hope he is as smart as yours. I am glad she alerted you.

What a great blessing... it could have been much worse.

From small and simple things, God works his wonders.

Thank the Lord you are all OK...it really upset me that you could have lost your lives and home!....give that dog a huge hug from me!........am so glad it all turned out OK....gives me the "willys" just thinking about it.......

Thanks to everyone for thier concern. I have alot that has happen to me to be thankful for this past year & do not take any of it for granted. I look forward to the new year surrounded by the many people & animals I love. I send out a New Year's Wish to everyone on here, that your upcoming year may be filled with love & happiness.

Wow, a big pat for your dog from me. I'm sooooo glad you were home and your house didn't burn down. GEEZE.

I was thinking of putting smoke detectors in the coops this coming year on the off chance that we'd have some warning should a fire break out. Your post makes me think that the dogs might hear it and at least amplify the warning.

Hubby has one of those things and I had to disconnect it because it was "melting" in the plugs. Never again!

Glad your dog warned you....it could have been worse! I hated that experience of losing our farmhouse by lightening...I can even remember the smell of smoke too!
