Hey millebantam:

"human psyche altered by little birds" ?????

So - I guess now we'll have to have the discussion about "which came first, the crazy or the egg?"

After all, some of us have 'ADOTSS' you know - Attention deficit - Ooooh there's something shiny.

When you say that you raise bobwhites, that's like a confession - that you have enough patience, to put up with bullying, slow turnaround, less tolerance for crowding.

Patience is a good thing, and I love my bobwhites for being bobwhites, but I'll race you to the hundredth generation with coturnix.

My guys can squeeze in 6 generations a year, with a potential for hundreds of babies from one female.

That's just a crazy amount of potential, so maybe crazy attracts crazy.

I might be more than half ** crazy, but I'd rather be crazy than bored.

I just told my husband about ADOTTS and he laughed as if someone had finally "found his pain". Someone out there knows what he lives with!

Quaillady! Are all hatched out of the Buttercup combo? or is your total number hatched just your stock, forgive me I have ADOTTS. Really. I do.
I mean ADOTSS. (see how it is? it is often accompanied by CRS...Can't remember sh&$)

I ended up with 23 hatching total. I had 5 golds that I opened 2 were'nt fertile, 1 early quiter, and 2 that died just before hatch. Im guess'in thats the fatal gene part...

The browns are robust chicks, a redder shade than my last corts were. They do jump out of the shell hungry, like all corts you can almost watch them grow.... lookin forward to raising them.. Thanks again Buttercup, Bill
