How about a new thread for those of us in wheelchairs?

Hey I just finally finished my coop/poultry house layout.... The floor plan is 24 x 24 based on 6 x 6 dog kennel panels... The chicken partitions are six feet by twelve feet with people access doors in the center aisle. Stall mats on the floor are for me and my Rolling walker. All the nest boxes are roll outs but because of my needs I have drawers that collect the eggs and can be accessed from the central aisle.

The work area I hope to have a chill box for storing eggs. Especially for hatching eggs. During the summer here it can get up to 105 degrees. so having a place to put the eggs to keep them viable for hatching is a good idea... I am hoping to sell Guinea Keets eventually.

I didnt show the doors to get into the coops... The big door is so I can open the whole end for unloading feed.... I can back the truck up and work from the inside of the coop to unload feed/supplies. keeping me cooler in the summer time.

I have added more pix to my Coop redesign page.... the link for it is at the bottom of my signature.

Hey, Deb, I've seen this now in 3 different places and each time it looks better and better! I keep noticing details that I didn't notice the time before. I think that means you have a hit on your hands! Yayyyyy!!!!

I've been threatening to use a power washer in the kitchen for years. I have to admit, I love using the ramps and Lift in the garage for groceries; just load into the wagon & wheel in. I also think a scrub brush should fit on a drill. I hate cleaning the shower!!

for those who have livestock like goats sheep and horses here is a great gate....

Its called a Kissing Gate. You step into a Y unlatch the gate and swing it to kiss the other post and latch.... Your in... no one escapes.

here is one for Wheel chair access. But it would be excellent for bringing in a walker or even (in my case) rubbermaid wheel barrow with supplies.

They have something like that at the dog park to prevent escapees. I have the Y style gating for my alpacas from their housing to 2 different pastures.
