how can I disable turning on Nurture Right 360 for first 2 days??

Hi, the shipper of my hatching eggs recommends incubating but not turning for first 48 hours to let air sacs set. I also am gonna let them sit in traditional pointy down 12 hours first to set air sacks. My question is, is there a way to turn off the turning function on the Nurture Right 36 for the first 48 hours without messing up the nice 21-day countdown?

can I just unplug the turner power wire temporarily????

I don't see why unplugging it wouldn't work. Another option would be to get the eggs all laid out with the turner in there, and then just remove the turner by lifting it around the eggs and begin incubation. Put it back in when you want your eggs to start getting turned.

Hi! Set the days to hatch on the incubator to 2. That will stop the incubator from auto-turning. Then, on day three, go back and reset the incubator to days to hatch to 19.

Press the Menu/OK and hold until it makes a long beep. Then press it once (small beep) to move from temperature to days-to-hatch. Then use the minus button to take it down to 2. Press it one more time (short beep) to save changes. Then, on day 3 of your hatch, re-enter the menu and change the days back up to 18 day-until-hatch.

Good luck! I'm starting a hatch in the morning with my 4-year-old granddaughter.

PS-- both ways Tre3hugger describes should be fine, too. I always seem to find the most technical solution.
