How did my gosling die?

Sadly this little one didn't make it. İt looks like it lost quite a bit of blood. 8 out of 9 hatched though. What do you think went wrong?

must have snagged a blood vessel. it happened to one of my chickens recently, but they're ok now.

I agree, looks like it hit a blood vessel when it was trying to pip. Just unlucky
