How did you come up with your screen name?

country freedom is all about being able to live with elbow room and breathing space. my children are cityfied and I am countryfried. they are quite satisfied with the closeness of city life. small yards, look out of a window and you are looking into another window(some one elses). noise and stink all the time. people everywhere, but I feel out of place. cannot have certain animals unless they permit you to. I actually go to sleep every night, wake up every morn with thoughts of lush green land, animals I want. thats what I miss. lived on my Pappaws farm for 5.5 years in the 70's. living in the city is like living inside the largest jail cell for me!!!! my df(darling fiance) feels the same as I, so we are moving to 6 acres later this summer! nearest neighbor is around 2 miles away!! we think its way about time our children learn new skills!!! you can take the girl out of the country, but you cannot take the country out of the girl. freedom is what I will have, when I get out of this city. once our children reach 18 yrs old, they can move out if they choose. our children still need to learn new skills.

My great grandaughter loves the sun and is always dancing in it so i guess sundance just came natural:)

Thanks! There are some nicknames I always wonder about.

(whose Hubby said just this afternoon "Hey, you Dipsy Doodle, did you see the goats just turned all the roosters in the rooster pen loose again. hahaha" I didn't find it funny. He calls me his Chicken Chucklehead in lighter moments.)

i'm known on byc and all my garden/chicken forums as silkiechick but when i came here it was taken so it's therealsilkiechick here since people get confused there is 2 now. i always get asked if it's really me.

my hubby and friends call me silkie(the first kind of chicken i fell in love with at a show when i was 3 and i also raise and love them and show sometimes) or vixen(female fox since i am a lady trapper and it's my favorite wild animal) which is usually my screen name and both have been for a few years. i'm so used to being called both i answer to and sign both names, lol depends on which site i'm at.

my real name is mary named after my mom's bestfriend way back but to me it is just to plain.

Hopefully everybody is familiar with the show Green Acres, right? We live in a busy city but are less than a mile away from beautiful farm country (we have the best of both worlds). Since we live in a subdivision and have less than an acre, I had to drop the "s" at the end!!!

Um, I like cars and want to be a race car driver when I grow up (I'm 32)

but really, i still want to be a race car driver

plus I've been using the same screen name for just about everything for years, and i'm used to it.
