How did you come up with your screen name?

I've used my name for a long time... I wanted silkies and they were chickens.... silkiechicken... or silkiechic if the screen name is limited in length.. or silkie's farm.

hi, big mamma was my first chicken a very large chicken who was the boss of all my others as they joined the family, she has since passed on so thought it would be nice to remember her here, my chicken coop is called bigmammas house!

Royicus... because it is my name! Ok, well not really, but close enough. Shorten up my screen name, and there you go! It makes me sound... Grand... Mmm yes.... Grand....

Nothing too glamorous or clever about my screen name. My name is Felicity & my husband's name is Don so I just put them together & voila...feldon... I've used it for years, that, & we also use felandon for an email user name. Our daughter tells me I have no imagination & I need to think outside the box more LOL.

When I changed my ISP about 4 years ago I wanted something different, BUT NOT THAT WEIRD. My Yahoo email is tastysoap, which is really weird, but no, it was not already taken and one of my kids was into eating soap. I called my daughter Olivia Lily when she was a baby, and although she acts really complacent and mellow like me, she is a dragon at heart. Thus, dragonlili.

On other forums I am MQN but I think that was taken here.

My older sister came by my house on my birthday one year with her 2 brats in tow. They smiled at me then looked up for "the sign" from my sis and said "We were going to write you a poem for your birthday but nothing rhymes with Nadine except BEAN!"

Referring of course to a old rhyme Val (sis) & my older brother had made up designed to torture me as a child.

I said "Mean Queen Nadine, accepts no excuses & will not tolerate failure" - It stuck.

My name is actually French and pronounced in French it does NOT rhyme with bean, but everyone says it that way....

Anyhow you all can just call me Mean!

PeitheCelt is my long-standing online nn, although I am about as European an American as they get (the farthest east my bloodline goes is Lithuania), but I was born in Japan (army brat) and my real name was tough for the nurses to say, so I became Pei-Pei (pro. Pay-Pay)

It stuck, though NO ONE calls me Pei-Pei anymore under pain of The Look of Death Warmed Over With an Iron Cherry On Top. Just Pei.

But PeitheCelt is a way to sort of make it a little more original, I'm a raging celt (Dad's family is all Irish, Scottish and English (and we have decided unanimously that it's Britons and not Normans or Anglo-Saxons that we came from, we don't care what the truth is

)), so... Mix the two and it's fairly original and pretty much always available. The name Pei is really just not one most people associate w/ the Celts for some crazy reason.

Originally, in my quest for a name for the farm my husband and I were dreaming of, I came up with Drake Maiden as a variation of Farm Girl. Within a year I hatched my first batch of duck eggs, and wouldn't you know they were all boys, but one. Right after our hatch we were thinking that we would have to get rid of our excess drakes, when we found our dream property. Well, it is our dream property, minus the fact that it could be a little larger. Anyway, we have all of our drakes in tow!
