almost ever google for chickens brought up the forum. I think the specific one for me was type of roosters.

I was doing research for a college project on the economic study report of a small ranch for my farm management class two months ago. Once aspect that I was going to have for my "ranch" was chickens, so I was looking up websites with chicken products and info. The more I read the more I wanted them but thought I couldn't have them. I finally found this site and just lurked for a while before I found the post about that municipal code website. When I checked my city and found that I could have a few "pet" hens, I flipped! I ran yelling to my DBF, "We can have CHICKENS!!!" I didn't think anyone could have told me that I one could get this excited about chickens before, I would not have believed it but now I'm living it!

I found BYC's when i was looking on how to make a homemade incubator so i google homemade incubator and i ran into MissPrissy's forum about her cooler bator and 1-2-3 here i am..lol

I did a ton of research before getting my chickens and, like most other people, found that a lot of the info came from here! I bookmarked it and checked it out frequently, but I didn't actually join till a little over a month ago (my big girls are three months old now) because I'd never actually belonged to a forum before and I was a little nervous. Everyone is so nice and helpful though
