How do all you Northeners do it?

This came down Sunday; not supposed to melt until Friday. Maybe. Guess where?

Easy.........not much choice really! But I don't mind it... I love a good snow storm!

Most of the time I just wear a heavy hoodie. My fingers are the only thing I have trouble with getting cold.

When I used to actually work outside for a living, it wasn't uncommon to be on top of a big barn replacing shingles.... matter of fact it always ended up being the coldest or hottest days of the year that we ended up on a roof. I hated that, but did find I tolerated the weather more because I was out in it all the time.

For you guys in the south I can see how it would be harder... no time to acclimate to it.

Be careful walking on the darn stuff... walk flat footed and take your time.

The chickens seem fine with it. Its me I'm worried about and the cost of my electric bill!

As long as it doesn't get windy they are happy as clams running around the yard. Can't wait for spring and the sun!

Anything over 20 is okay with me... although I LOVE fall in NY, when the leaves just start to change and the temp stays in the mid 60's.

I too tend to run out in winter with t-shirt if it's over 30. I don't stay out all day, but is not bad to do quick morning chores.

I'm currently visiting my mother in eastern montana, last night it was -17F. In colorado at our farmstead its hitting close to the 5F or less mark the last several nights.

I hate the cold, but I gotta say, I'm kinda enjoying seeing all this snow they are having here. I've missed it in CO!
