How do I breed a Silver Pied peafowl?

Yes, silver pied x white will produce pieds and whites, correct they most be silver pieds to produce silver chicks or out of silver pied birds.

Or would this produce white split to either pied or silver pied?

You can't have bird split to pied, pied x silver pied= 50% pied white eye chicks, 25% whites, 25% dark pieds.

Breeding these birds together later should give you some silver pieds, but not when breeding whites together for sure.

It is my understanding the name silver pied came from the back feathers as they have all silver or partial silver on their backs and hens are silver where blues would be colored , that pieds does not even have any white in the colored eyes so i say it is an extremely loud pied , but unless you know the background you don't really know what came into play to get that pretty boy

Every IBSP I have seen has Silver on its back, none of the Peach SP that I or @Bluecreekfarms have, have any silver on them.

All the whites ??? To make a SP we need two genes "white eyes" one from the father ... one from the mother!
So the question is .... what kind of white?

Dark Silver Pied White Eyed X White = 100% Silver Pied
All the Dark SP are White eyed.

Dany, insert any color you want before the words Silver Pied and it is still accurate. It doesn't matter what color, they are talking about patterns.
