How do I convince my parents to let me get more quail?

I built cages for my button quail myself, mostly from materials we got for free. If your dad can use a saw and a drill, I'm sure he could help you build a bigger cage. When building it yourself, you can build it just so it fits your needs - you can use it as a table for the TV, make it a size so it just fits that unused space in the corner, make room for storage boxes below the cage - your imagination is the limit. If your mother doesn't mind the cage taking up more space, then let it take up more space! Don't see it as a bad thing she said they need to be in the cage - take it as a good thing she actually almost said it was okay for you to get another one!

GUYS!! IT WORKED!!!
SO we got what looks like a 2 week old dark brown coturnix. We are keeping her in quarantine in my other quail's vet/travel cage, she's super freaked out right now, but she's been taking her first few sips of medicated water, so she's doing good!!
This is just a trial though, so no naming until we find out that she is all good.

Yea, I convinced them that if we just gave it a try, we could see if it would work out. It's fascinating, but we are keeping the new quail in quarantine for 10 days to medicate her and for her to get tame. She is accepting veggies instantly, her favourite is cucumber.

Haha, well, my mom is convinced that it is better for us to have 2. Our main quail hasn't ventured out to the living room, she has stayed with the other quail! We are trying to introduce the other one to sand, she can dustbathe but she's extremely precautions.
My mom says agreed with me that they need a bigger cage, so we'll buy one when the other one is illness-free.

Awww that's so great !! I was going to suggest to inform your mother about allllll of the health benefits of quail eggs even curing allergies especially seasonal ones (also used in some medicine). then show her some super cute quail egg recipes like cooked in a mushroom and say that in some places the quail eggs are highly coveted and are a delicacy and I can sell a dozen of them here in Canada for 5$ easy organic edible eggs or fertilized eggs can be a dollar each!

Well, I have already 1 quail that lays daily eggs so 2 that lay daily will be way too many eggs to handle. To counter that, I have started a mini quail egg business in my school
