Many people are allergic to gluten which is in soya

Both of those websites are intended for people who cannot eat gluten, so I assume they know what they are talking about. They both point out that many soy-containing foods ALSO have gluten, but the gluten does not come from the soy.

Very true
But some people are sensitive to soy. A bycer gets soy free feed, but his CX grew slower. He didn't care, figured they are healthier growing slower

This was something I once looked into and it's not quite easy. My aunt had some guys at the feed store give her a box of young meat birds who had escaped the chicken house they ran, and they didn't want to fool with putting them back in so they rehomed to her. Most didn't live past 8 months and only two made it to a year, as they get so large and eventually could not walk. Ex-battery hens I could never get info on.

HOWEVER, want to know a super awesome way to help? Call your local shelter. Get on a list for being a chicken caretaker/adopter. I worked at a city animal shelter years ago and ended up with three rescues myself including a hen who had been attacked by dogs, and a youngster who they got as a chick and realized they couldn't care for anymore as he grew. Another shelter I worked at was at a loss when farm animals came in, they had no one to call. They had to reach out to a local farmer when we had a random piglet dropped off.
