DH and I split the chores he does his side of the farm with the goats, pigs,ducks,and banties and I do the breeder pens,growout pens and 2 main chicken coops. It takes us about an hour each to feed water and clean the coops out everday. We feed twice a day so its repeated in the evening. He works nights so I get my grandchildren to help feed and put the animals away for the night. Its a sight to see my little 8 year old granddaughter herd 2 - 350 pound pigs into their pen. She just takes a pole and taps them on the but and says come on girls. They go right with her. Up until my daughter lost her job last year I had the grandkids sleep over each night and I had to get them up and off to school. DD had to be a work at 4:00AM. It was easier for them to spend the night than having me get up and go over there everyday. I also got them off the bus and took care of them until she came home from work. Since she is not working I find I miss the routine. When my kids were growing up I worked a 65 hour week and still took care of the house and everyone in it.
