How do you get rid of unwanted male chicks

Some local farms here will take "free" dinner donations, I think there's even a feed store that will take freebies. Otherwise I have no objection to culling myself if I have to.

You don't HAVE to eat them. If you're more comfortable with someone else doing it (and eating them), well, I'd rather do it that way.

Or if you really can't bring yourself to eat them, some folks "plant" them in the yard under a rose bush or something, as they still serve a purpose as fertilizer.

I go out late at night with a potato gun and launch em across my neighborhood.

cmobley is a jerk. the way i get rid of the cockerels is by taking them to a live stalk sale or try and sell them on craigslist. Hope that helps
