How do you keep the feed dry in the run(rain/storms etc)

Mine just have an old feed bucket with lid, and I cut a flap in the side of it so there is a raised lip around the bottom. I use the flap to glue on and create an awning over the open area. I put the feed in and hang it off a low branch or alternatively my extra hooks onto two screws on the back of one of the huts. When I need to change/clean it, I lift it off the screws. Bit DIY but it works for our small setup.

Here's my feeder
I built a easy peasy plywood cover with some scrap plywood. The idea with the side slats was to keep the dog from their food, but he got smart and just flipped the sucker over so he's now blocked from the duck pen and it just sits open side out. I have their food in a highish edged low storage bin. When it rains crazy sideways, sometimes the food gets damp, but I've not had to dump water out yet.

They get 3 cups a day (for 3 ducks) in a dog bowl outside, with an auto feeder inside. I want to build feeding huts for them and the chickens with PVC auto feeders outside, but haven't gotten to it so they get more inside than outside and I don't care if it rains, they like it mushy anyways and get a limited supply so it runs out before that night and doesn't get a chance to get bad.

The chickens have a new tarp, so now their outside bowl stays dry. Sand was getting too wet on the chicken side from all the rain.

When it rains I usually head for cover so I don't get wet, the same should be done for feeders. It really isn't that hard.
