How do you properly draw attention to your thread?

I have a thread that's got only 2 responses and hasn't had any since yesterday. How can you draw attention to your threads? Are there rules about that sort of thing? Also, I followed some people on here and want to be notified whenever they make a new thread. Is this possible? Does it happen automatically? Is there any way to notify your followers when you make a new thread?

No, not this one. The one where I'm trying to discover the breeds of my mother's chickens and how good they would be for hatching chicks, and when they will lay. I guess it's alot to ask for one thread, but mainly I just wanted to know their breed so I could look up the other things on my own. Also, would like to know if her Sebrights are hen-feathered or not. (They aren't pure Sebrights, at least I don't think they are.)

Is there any way to notify your followers when you make a new thread?

You can let them know you made a new thread by starting a conversation with them, or, if they have "mentioned you" alert turned on, you can tag them. A tag is when you put @ in front of their member name like this @birdlover2

Could you put all of your followers in your signature as tags? Do tags even work if you put them in signatures?

Tags do not work in signatures.

Got it, well I guess there's not much of a way to tag all my followers at once every time then lol, I could try using copy-paste, but it's probably a waste of time, I suppose you should only tag when really needed

I just thought of something else and I will use your thread in the What Breed Or Gender is This? forum as an example. If you want more replies, spend some time in that forum just searching and reading threads. Try to get a feel for the people that usually reply to the type of questions you have, then tag them.
