How do you separate the feed for the chicks vs layers?

I use flock raiser, so after the chicks are done on the medicated feed in a separate small coop, I move them to the main coop and feed everyone flock raiser. I offer oyster shell on the side free choice. It works great, and I don't have to worry about the pullets getting the layers food and the layers getting the pullets food.

Also, there is a lot less waste with the flock raiser than the layer food. (they bill it out to get to the corn pieces)
