How do you spoil your chickens?

They go crazy about pomegranate, and fresh vegetables and watermelons but in the hot summer days they love this:

Love the chickencicle!!! I've seen this idea but what would you put that in so it doesn't just melt all over the place? I put oatmeal in a shallow glass dish propped on something...is that what you'd do with the chickencicle??

In a paper cup put vegetables, cut fruit, scratch some cheese or what ever you want, pore some water, or water with electrolytes and freeze it.
It is very simple!

Have you tried sticking a long eye screw into the cup and letting it freeze in place? It would enable you to hang the chickencicle. I'm going to try it.

Things I don't feed my chickens but they like anyway:
Dog food, cat food, bird food, horse feed, cow feed.

Found some chopped up banana in a baggie in the freezer (I think I had saved it when I had too many bananas, with a view to making smoothies for hubby, but it didn't happen).

I put the still frozen pieces into the suet holder for the chickens and they pecked at them a little. I left, and when I returned the suet feeder was empty

One thing that looks like dog food is Farmer's Helper poultry treats. First ingredient is dried peas. Good stuff.

Great delivery method!! Was thinking a rope could be frozen in, but this sounds like the way to go!!
