i love that!400 pounds a week? How many birds do you have?!
When I built my coop I incorporated a storage cabinet into the design. The top comes off and there are four latchable plastic containers inside to keep things dry. Two hold 50# of Flock Raiser crumbles (which I ferment on a daily rotating basis), one holds treats and the third miscellaneous stuff like the SweetPDZ I use in their poop trays. The top of cabinet is far enough below the trays so it doesn't take away from "floor space" and also provides a step up/down from their roosts.

I may get a little dampness around the edges of the floor when it rains real hard, but never had any problems with damp feed. No rats, bugs or snakes either, so I guess it's working.
