How do you store your eggs?

Pics
Oh my... that would be a nightmare for me! I'd have to be digging down to the bottom any time I needed an egg to try and use the oldest first. I could never do it this way... They'd need to put one of those long sleeved shirts on me... the ones with the buckles and straps...

I'm making an assumption that this is after collection but before packaging/"cartoning"? That sure does look like a nice collection. Very nice basket too!
Yes, this was after collecting. I don't keep the eggs in the basket.

My sister makes egg collecting aprons. Here are some pictures of a few.

I never have enough eggs to worry. Mine go into a wire basket so I can keep track of how many are laid daily, then into an egg carton. When that is full, it goes on the table to be sold. I have too many customers, since I never get fresh eggs, lol. I will as soon as the 4 pullets start to lay and the 2 broodies go back to laying.

We are anxiously awaiting our first egg, but this thread opened my eyes! I hadn't even thought about how we are going to store our eggs! We have been saving egg cartons since we got our chicks in February, so we have a decent amount saved up! This thread has so many great ideas!

Thank you :D I started thinking about it because im super excited for my ladies to start laying and I want them to be fresh for my family and friends.
Im so glad this question helped you also. :D
