I understand that barring can be used with partridge to create autosexing chicks does this work with other e locus alleles? I've heard autosexing can be done (somewhat) with dominant black like barred rocks.

It affects eb or ebc differently than e+, for example both gender get the headstop or at least is more visible on females(some e+ lines do get a faint headspot on females, some CCL lines), you should look for crele penedesenca chicks and that is how barring look on a basic eb or ebc pattern.

I looked at the wybar thread. It's interesting how the double barring gene lightens the males down color.
The pendescas are very pretty are they ebc based? I read that the buttercup hens pattern is created by homozygous ebc and Db.

Resent genetic studies have shown that ebc is just eb and the butter cup pattern is eb, Db and Pg some have tested and not found Pg, eb and Db should be enough for the butter cup pattern as eb is the best e allele for patter, e+ Db hens show a much less pronounced patter for example the Ginger OEGB
