How far can I stretch the definition of EE

Wait just a second here folks.

What is the definition of breed standard of an EE?
I meant what can you classify as an EE.

The OG definition that I found is aracuana x amerucana but that’s not happening in any big hatcheries.

There isn't a breed standard for EE.

For me, an EE is any bird that lays colored eggs or carries the genes for it. Once it doesn't carry the gene anymore, it's just a mutt/BYM.
I have seen EEs carry all egg shell genes except speckled and marans egg dark.

People have started reaching way too much with the term EE.
I think this is exactly the problem.

The largest Hatchery by volume in the US is Hoovers. Their EE's lay a "variety" of colors, which includes a "pinkish" egg on the TSC order screen.

The definition of EE has become so washed that party chicken could certainly call her bird an EE.
But, since she is part of the breed & gender gang here on BYC, I think she is innately held to a higher standard 😉 here is what I would say

"A unique blue and Legbar mix, that lays a lot of a beautiful salmon colored eggs."

Way better than Easter egger.

Mutt or BYM never suited her she was very elegant and well full of herself. I have been given crazy mixes before not knowing what is in them (case and point Poppy). This is what I’m going to go with for him.

I agree on the stuff mentioned in the first part, as well as the last sentence. While technically correct, I feel like we are sugar-coating the fact that this bird is simply a mutt
