I'm thinking I need to get a Brinsea. What are YOUR experiences with them? Do you have a much better hatching rate? Does it take less maintenance than other bators? Tell me your stories.
I've been looking at the brinsea octagon 20 advance ex but not sure . I'm curious also. Where do yall buy your incubators.Hope you don't mind me tagging along Blaundee .
I have the Brinsea 20 Eco and it works great. I do like all plastic for easy cleaning. It hold the temperature and humidity very well. The only draw back is only hold 24 chicken eggs. Here is the holiday sale link http://www.brinsea.com/buying/holidayusprice.htm . There is a 10% coupon that someone post recently here too. I personally think the Brinsea 20 EX is overprice for just add automatic humidity control feature. I rather get 2-3 of the Brinsea 20 Eco. I posted how to add water without remove the top, but you have to search for it. Good Luck!
Oh, lordy. I am a poster child for Brinsea! Do buy yours directly from the Brinsea website - I haven't found any anywhere cheaper except used ones on eBay every now and then.
I have 3 models: MiniAdvance, MiniAdvance EX (2 of these), and Octagon20 Advance EX (three of these). I work, so the auto turners and the humidity pumps are essential for me. They hold temp and humidity rock solid.
Super easy to clean up! I have only hatched shipped eggs, so sometimes my hatch rate varies from best 85% in the MiniAdvances down to 30% in the Octagons. But the Octagons have also given me over 50%, too.
Go to http://www.brinsea.com and click on the web specials. Then navigate to the models you are interested in buying. The coupon code is FBME10 and is good through Jan 31.
