Lifetime eclectic, I suppose. I never think of "decorating." Our home just grows and develops, as pieces are added (for example from country antique sales) and taken away (sent off with children leaving home). Most storage pieces are country antique sale finds, like pie safes, cupboards, tables, wooden chairs, nothing too fine or dear to use with children and grands, nothing matching--though all blends. Utility pieces such as sturdy tall book shelf units and media storage have been store buys. Books, quilts, some old framed prints and family photo gallery round us out. I swore against all carpet when we sold our town home and moved to our small acreage, so our floors are practical and easily cleanable tile and hardwood. We have downsized from too much and too large and seem to be just about right, right now. ~G
