How long can partially incubated duck eggs survive without the mother sitting on them?

I agree with @casportpony . I've had eggs that were only sat on at night still hatch after I pulled them from the nest and plopped them in the incubator, a week later.

Also had some that did fine when the power went out for three days. That is until my new incubator COOKED them in lockdown!!! GRRRR!

Looks like some are alive. I'm down to 9 eggs Someone's incubating them for me. :) I'm planning on buying an incubator sometime soon though. But now I need to find another Muscovy duck. :/

Give her a chance. Might just be inexperience. I had a few do this, too. Worse was when the female decided she had enough of the motherhood thing and let her babies get trampled. :(

I think you missed the bit where she died.

How many days was she sitting in them?
