How long can partially incubated duck eggs survive without the mother sitting on them? I went outside to put the ducks up for the night and found my broody Muscovy hen dead.

Sorry for your loss. It really depends on how far along they are and how cold they got. If you have an incubator, stick them in it, and you might be surprised.

I agree with @casportpony . I've had eggs that were only sat on at night still hatch after I pulled them from the nest and plopped them in the incubator, a week later.

Also had some that did fine when the power went out for three days. That is until my new incubator COOKED them in lockdown!!! GRRRR!

Looks like some are alive. I'm down to 9 eggs Someone's incubating them for me. I'm planning on buying an incubator sometime soon though. But now I need to find another Muscovy duck. :/

Give her a chance. Might just be inexperience. I had a few do this, too. Worse was when the female decided she had enough of the motherhood thing and let her babies get trampled.

I'm not sure. I didn't see any wounds when I did a quick inspection. Honestly at that point I was more concerned about the eggs surviving.

How many days was she sitting in them?

I'm pretty sure it's been about 2-3 weeks.
