How long does a male and female quail have to be together before I can start gathering eggs to incub

I know chickens I usually do 3 weeks. How long does it take for quails to fertilize the eggs when they just got introduced to each other?

Actually The 3 week thing for the chickens is if the hens had been with another roo before. So if you were trying to get pure eggs you would have to wait for about 3 weeks before she had no remnants of last Roo out of her system.

So to answer your question> you should have fertile eggs in about week or less.

You can check for fertility each day by opening the egg and checking the blasto disc. Then start collecting after first confirmation.
