How long does it take a broody hen to start laying again?

We had a young pullet that went broody after laying eggs for less than a month ~ we were able to break her broodiness and she left the nest last week . . . How long until she should start laying eggs again? We have hens with no rooster. Thank you!

She'll probably start laying soon. When mine have raised chicks then stopped mothering them, it's been about a week til they started laying again.

I used the cayenne pepper and got an egg the next day. Lol lol I was amazed.

I'm struggling with this issue right now too. This is fantastic! I will have to give the cayenne and cornmeal a go! Sounds so crazy, but if it works!
