how long does the pipping stage go on for after the first pip help please

I've come back to confess that I had to help my lone egg/chick hatch. When I noticed the pip I was so excited to have my first EE, I didn't notice the humidity had dropped to 20%. I gasped, filled the trays with warm water, and closed it up. There was no progress of the pip for over 12 hours, so I broke the shell and outer membrane a bit and noticed he appeared to be shrink-wrapping. When I made an area that was the size of a quarter, I noticed the vessels of the inner membrane had not dried up yet, so I made sure he could breathe and I put him back in there. Several hours later, no progress and the membrane was gluing itself to him. Long story (kinda) short....

He's gonna be o-kay! It's my very first EE hatch. It's father is a white leghorn roo and Mom is a common brown colored EE.
