Can I ask what he does? I am surprised he can still work at 17!Our service dog! He is a toy poodle! 17 years old. Not retired yet (his idea).
PICTURES???!!!?!?!?!
Hi there. Legally, you can’t ask (something about HIPAA?) but I can volunteer that he is a seizure alert dog. We believe all dogs have the God-given innate ability to detect the undetectable. Humans are just catching on to it.Can I ask what he does? I am surprised he can still work at 17!
Its not illegal to ask, but you do not need to tell people why you need the dog. So a shop can not ask you and then refuse to allow you to enter because you didn’t tell them. I think you might have to say what type (such as medical alert) if shops ask but I am not 100% sure. But I am allowed to ask anybody what there service dog does, of course you don’t have to answer!Hi there. Here in NY, no one can ask. Even police! Even an E.R. doctor! It’s crazy. People bring their dogs everywhere, calling them “Therapy Dogs”. No regulations/licensing for public training, behavior, nothing. A nightmare in the best situations. It’s a real sore spot for folks with certified dogs, as untrained “therapy” dogs are giving them a bad name. Its not illegal to ask, but you do not need to tell people why you need the dog.
