How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

2/4 eggs yesterday. I put some plastic Easter eggs (10 cents at Walmart right now!) in the nesting box. They pecked at the green one, so I took it away, but a few hours later, Clara was working on her egg IN the box! This is the first time any of my girls has used it. Usually they just lay in the bedding of the coop. I'm hopeful that it will solve our eating problem as well.

13 eggs again today! Now we are averaging about 7 dozen a week. Our daughter sold 3 dozen for us to her nursing friends.

Well the we had 45 mpg winds today. The girls only managed 6 eggs hoping for a better day tomorrow.

I had a great day! 40 eggs from 25 hens! It really helped to have forgotten to collect the evening before due to dinner guests.

2/4 today. I know there was at least one more because there was yolk all over everything in the nesting box. I think I have discovered the culprit though. Now what to do with her...

Our girls are really stepping up egg wise now. Had a couple of days w/ 8, most we've ever gotten in a day. The other day was 8 and then 7 yesterday, but we're not complaining. Been getting asked for more lately so we don't mind.

My three hens on gave me 1 egg day before. (Had them out to free range right after first was lain. Too busy eating earthworms and clay/dirt bathing by house)

Yesterday 3 eggs.... I was only home until noon so they only got to free range for 4 hours.
