How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

Today I got 5 eggs, which is the most I've had in almost a month!

I think I figured out what the problem is. About a month ago I bought a different type of food. Although my chickens free range and get all kids of natural foods during the day, I think something in the pellets made them reduce their laying to almost nil. Last weekend I bought a bag of Layena and egg production was up almost immediately. Has anyone else noticed that the brand of food affects egg laying?

When they hatch the cockerels will be black with head spots and the pullets will be all black.

None for several days. I just know that broody Salmon Favorolle hen is taking them all. She should be sitting on a small pyramid by now. About 12-15 eggs.
