I've been selling my eggs for $1.00 a dozen, but a lot of the customers pay me $2.00 a dozen...
I am in an area where half of the population of our school district is on free & reduced lunch. My goal was to pay for the feed I use each month & since my girls free range & get the leftovers from the lunch room at one of the schools, they don't eat a lot of egg layer feed (although it is always available for them).

I got 10 eggs today.

3 eggs from 4 birds - back up to where it was before winter! I had been getting 0 starting in late November when my EE decided it was molting time... then one of the girls started back up 3 weeks ago when we got the deep freeze and I put a lamp in the coop, and since then they've all joined in. I guess next year I'll plan on supplemental lighting in December!
