I too have EE layers that produce some big old eggs, they barely fit in the jumbo egg cartons! Sadly lost two of them recently.

My girls are real slackers lately. Only 1 egg today (as of 3pm) out of 11 hens. Most appear to be molting and I think this heat wave is getting to them.

Getting7-8 eggs every day from 11 hens. Hens are 3years old and haven't had any that wants to set. Only seen one that started to molt but that was last fall and it didn't seem to last. Must be my big golden colored rooster keeps them goin?
