How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

Penny and Karen my heartfelt prayers. I lost my father a couple of years ago and I understand some of what you are going through.

10/13 and 1/2 today.
Thank you very much. She goes to the doctor on Saturday. My Dad doesn't want me to go with them ( more ears to hear what the doctor says) he thinks it would be too stressful for my Mom, but he is suppose to tell the doctor that he can talk to me & tell me what is going on.
My brothers & I would feel better if one of us was getting information straight from the doctor. Not sure what all my 85 year old Dad might be forgetting or getting confused about.

Thursday

I was outside feeding and watering and the geese were just being NASTY

Sweet! are there 4 chicks (is that what you call baby geese?) or are there more than that? Congratulations on your Cinco De Mayo babies!!

15 eggs on Thursday. Only 6 more days of school!!! I sometimes think we teachers are more excited than the kids!!
Finally had 2 days in a row of sunny (not rainy) weather so I was able to work some on rehabbing the small tractor type coop that was given to me. Still need to paint some more & then put wire on it. I have some meat chicks that would like to move in!!

@penny1960 , @karenerwin

I'm sorry to hear about your Moms.

As far as egg counts I really dropped off there, didn't I?

We've been busy here with cattle and seeding.

It's been a very consistent 11-12 chicken eggs since so many have went broody...and 1 guinea egg/day except last Saturday.
I sold a few roosters and the other 2 male guineas that day...and that's been the only day the female guinea missed since she started laying.

I was gone Tuesday and my husband gathered the eggs, except the ones under the bottom broody hens.
I got 3 eggs from there so I popped them in the incubator because they'd have started to develop.

Wednesday I got 20 eggs including the one guinea egg! Wow. Not sure what happened and why I got so many eggs.
(I bet they want over time pay..

Gander, I find your thoughts on the age of the chickens and hatching eggs interesting!
It would be interesting to discuss it at some point on a hatching thread.
