Temp 113Fdegrees by 5:30 PM and by 11:00 PM the temp was down to 108F degrees ..





No casualties so far but the young turkeys got very puffy in the face and spent a lot of time today standing in the water so I am now spraying them with the water hose to help cool them off and they do stop running after they get wet a bit ..

And for Thursday I only got 2 eggs total and they were from the free range chickens .

7/13 and 0/2 yesterday. It has been hot lately and they stand around and pant. Poor babies.

yes, the temperatures are just barely staying under 100. I'm not sure if heat index is under 100 or not because our actual temps have been in the high 90's.
I still have 2 hens sitting on eggs. Hopefully in about 2 weeks, I'll have some chicks.

We have had drizzle days the last two weeks... now we are headed to high 80's
maybe low 90's... fairly certain the barreds are are not in molt just yet but are being little
pains to any changes I make getting between 3 and 5 daily now my little
black sex-link and easter eggers pullets are bordering 19 weeks old

Still only getting 3 or 4 a day from my older girls. Heat here isn't as bad but I think they are getting better with it. No eggs from the pullets and less than a week to go on my JG eggs in the incubator.
