Today I got my first real eggs EVER!!
I have 4 pullets at 21 weeks old and last week there was an egg on the bottom of the coop that had a leathery shell and was broken.

Today the Welsummer went missing and we found her sitting in some leaf litter. After she got up, this is what I found... 3 adorable pullet eggs!!

beautiful eggs!

whew id be confused too. Is there any way your newer pullets could be laying?? I'm sure things vary throughout the year though and especially with your picky girls. Keep closer eye on them when you are able to if you can, it may answer some questions. Good luck

Yes three are laying, all 11 girls are laying (well except betty who is molting). But of the younger 2 pullets also lay small blue/green eggs. Actually that's that part that is really confusing me because zoey's have grown steadily from a small to a med. And the younger 2 lay smalls or just under small, but the one I got this morning and have been getting for about 2 weeks is so small it almost doesn't weight at all on the scale (mechanical type). I had though these petite eggs were from hot sauce as she was the last time start laying or at least I thought she was. I figured she just wasn't increasing in size. Master sushi is the other pullet and she started shortly after zoey. But now knowing this petite egg is actually cocoa beans in not sure if cocoa bean just started laying or what. But I'm thinking the olive green could still be Betty's. So it's really just the other large greens I had this summer that don't fit.

I have 1 brown layer 5 tan layers and 5 green layers and of the brown and tans I can tell 4 who's is who's just by shade and shape the other 2 tans are bards and both small but 2 different shades of tan. I don't know who's is who's but I know they belong to 1 of 2. The greens though, they just keep me guessing.

But having a small flock of just 11 does make it easier to keep track ofor who's laying most of the time.

I am sitting at 12 but a barred rock and web page being difficult at best
not will allow me to type keeps taking me back to a foster farms ad that continues to
roll time and time over
